Abstract: ABSTRACT. The effect of an intravenous (IV) infusion of hypertonic saline solution (HSS; 7.2%, 2,400 mOsmol/kg·H 2 O) was evaluated by serum electrolyte concentrations and osmotic pressure in the anesthetized beagles.
