Effect of Interface on Mechanical Properties of Ti/Al/Mg/Al/Ti Laminated Composites

Abstract: Ti/Al/Mg/Al/Ti laminated composites were fabricated via hot-pressing at 350 °C, 400 °C and 450 °C successfully. The influences of interface morphology, diffusion zone, constraint effect on the mechanical properties were investigated. At Ti/Al interface, intermetallic compounds aren't found. Whereas, they form at Al/Mg interface.
