Effect of Fat Sources and Emulsifier Supplementation in Broiler Starter, Grower and Finisher Diets on Performance, Nutrient Digestibility, and Carcass Parameters

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of fat sources and emulsifier supplementation in different phases on growth performance of broilers. Treatments were; (T1) basal ration (BR) which contained soy oil (SO) and had inclusion of emulsifier for whole life, (T2) BR which contained poultry fat (PO) and had inclusion of emulsifier for whole life, (T3) BR which contained oxidized oil (OO) and had inclusion of emulsifier for whole life, (T4) BR which contained SO and had inclusion of emulsifier during… Show more

“…With the advancement of human society and the rapid development of agriculture and animal husbandry, the demand for meat, milk, eggs, and poultry food products for human consumption have been rising, and thus, food safety and security awareness is increasing (Aziz ur Aziz ur Rahman et al, 2019;Arshad et al, 2020;Bajwa et al, 2020). There is often a shortage of high-quality protein feed and an insufficient supply feed ingredients and green forage during the winter and spring feeding season both in poultry and livestock (He et al, 2018;Hussain et al, 2018;Hussain et al, 2020;Kamran et al, 2020). This greatly limits the output of livestock and poultry food products, and it threatens the safety and security of livestock and poultry food production (Muhammad et al, 2016;Niu et al, 2017;Muhmmad et al, 2020).…”

“…Therefore, conducting research on the expression of genes related to the development of ovary and uterus can pave the way to understand the key role of these genes in development and growth of beef cattle. Kamran et al, 2020;Riaz et al, 2021a;Riaz et al, 2021b;Shahid et al, 2021) has been conducted on indigenous feed resources, and livestock breeds. Similarly, a lot of research has been conducted and the results in terms of phenotypic traits, genetic characterization, providing some information for breed identification and genetic marker mining.…”
