“…TGA is one of the most useful techniques for evaluating the onset of thermal decomposition temperature and determining the thermal stability of conducting polymers. TGA results obtained from PANI 42,43 suggest that the initial stages of weight loss are due to the volatilization of water molecules; at higher temperatures, breakage of the polymeric backbone and dopant moieties occur, and at more extreme temperatures, the residues in the region are mainly thermally stable, inert materials like minerals and metallic impurities. The initial stage in these polymer composites corresponds to that of the moisture/water molecule in the polymer composites.…”

“…After the formation of polymer composites, the particle size decreases in dimensions and merges to form smaller aggregates. 42,43 The morphological changes in the polymer blends may be attributed to the presence of PCL, as evidenced by SEM and TEM image analysis of the polymer films.…”

“…SEM micrographs of the pure PPy and PPy/PbTiO 3 (50 wt %) composites are display- C is due to complete degradation and decomposition of the polymer after the loss of dopant ion. 17 PPy showed a weight loss of 56% up to 800 o C, which increased after the introduction of PbTiO 3 into PPy. The PPy/PbTiO 3 (30 wt %) matrix showed a weight loss of 63%, which further increased to 66% for PPy/PbTiO 3 (50 wt %) composite.…”

“…27, 28 The electrochemical activity of these composites is enhanced by a slight modification in the composite structure of PANI. Continuous studies are in progress to elucidate the mechanism responsible for the increased electroactivity of PANI-PM composites.…”
