“…The highest rates of mycelial growth at 28ºC were agreement with previous reports from Israel (Pivonia et al, 2002), Japan (Uematsu & Sekiyama, 1990), Spain (Armengol et al, 2011) and the USA (Stanghellini et al, 2000), where many isolates had optimal growth between 28 and 32ºC. Growth rates of all M. cannonballus isolates at 38ºC were similar to those obtained by Armengol et al (2011), but differed from that found by Pivonia et al (2002), who showed that the hyphal growth of the M. cannonballus included in this study ceased at 39ºC.…”
