Pannhof and Plantikow (1983) reported that the reason may be that the digestive enzymes in the fish's intestine were adsorbed by the starch and inhibit its vitality, and the speed of the high-starch feed through the digestive tract of fish is twice that of the high protein feed, which means that the length of time for hydrolysis of high-starch feed in the digestive tract was reduced.…”
