Effect of diclofenac on the pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin in quail

Abstract: This study investigated the Pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin alone or with diclofenac sodium in adult Japanese quails. The quails divided into two groups, the first group was dosed intraperitoneally with 50 mg/kg of ciprofloxacin, the second group was injected by 50 mg/kg of ciprofloxacin intraperitoneally then directly injected intraperitoneally by diclofenac sodium at a dosage of 5 mg/kg. Plasma concentrations of ciprofloxacin were determined by the spectrophotometer at wavelength 290 nm. Co-admiration of c… Show more

“…The increasing sensitivity linked to steroid -induce increasing in pre-ischemic myocardial CAMP concentration and increasing in both of pre-ischemic and reperfusions of the tumor necrosis factor TNF-∝ concentration. Kahal and Allem, [31], recorded in this study enlargement, sever degenerate ion and the heart muscle damage. The findings support Hassan et al [32].…”

“…In (2005), Du Toit et al [31]; recorded that the supraphysiological dose of AAS, which is taken throughout the exercise training or according to inactive condition elevated myocardial susceptibility to the ischemia or reperfusion damage. The increasing sensitivity linked to steroid -induce increasing in pre-ischemic myocardial CAMP concentration and increasing in both of pre-ischemic and reperfusions of the tumor necrosis factor TNF-∝ concentration.…”

“…NSAIDs' analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects are primarily due to cyclo-oxygenase inhibition; however, reduced leukotriene and arachidonic acid synthesis may also play a role. NSAIDs also have a central antinociceptive effect, albeit an unknown mechanism (7). Paracetamol does not appear to have the same ability to inhibit peripheral cyclo-oxygenase (COX) activity as non-steroidal antiinflammatory medications.…”
