Effect of Cryoprecipitate on Liver Regeneration in Cirrhosis

Show more

“…It has been proven that cryoprecipitate has not only hemostatic but also local and systemic anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects due to pro-and antiinflammatory cytokines in its composition (spontaneous interferon, interleukin-2, interleukin-8, plasminogen, albumin, globulin fraction etc.) (11). Fibrin glue that was injected into the abscess cavity also has a local immunomodulatory effect (12).…”

“…Fibrin glue has been proven to contain pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines, growth factors that contribute to tissue regeneration in the area of its injection [4,[10], [11], [12]]. It has been proven both in the experiment and in the clinic that fibrin glue supports tissue regeneration saving the physiological ratio of the parenchyma and stroma, without proliferation of connective tissue [13].…”

“…This arranged regeneration, with the formation of sinusoids, decreases portal hypertension. 5 However, there are no studies described in the literature devoted to degenerative processes in the small and large intestine walls after stimulation of liver regeneration with cryoprecipitate.…”
