Abstract

on the specimenswhich are madeby self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) using three kinds of titanium raw powder. Chlorine as an impurity was found to enhancethe formation of porosities, resulting in degrading the mechanical properties, especially the tensile strength.
