Effect of an External Oriented Magnetic Field on Entropy Generation in Natural Convection

Abstract: Abstract:The influence of an external oriented magnetic field on entropy generation in natural convection for air and liquid gallium is numerically studied in steady-unsteady states by solving the mass, the momentum and the energy conservation equations. Entropy generation depends on five parameters which are: the Prandtl number, the irreversibility coefficients, the inclination angle of the magnetic field, the thermal Grashof and the Hartmann numbers. Effects of these parameters on total and local irreversibi… Show more

“…As such, in [47] discusses the influence of inclined magnetic field on peristaltic flow of a Williamson fluid model in an inclined channel without nanofluid. In [40] encounters the effects of and external oriented magnetic field on entropy in a cavity configuration without nanoparticles. “…There have been many theoretical models developed specifically for entropy generation analysis of MHD boundary layer flow [31][32][33][34][35][36][37]. However, to the best of our knowledge, no investigation has been made yet to not only analyze the entropy generation of the slip MHD flow and heat transfer over permeable continuous moving surface but also to reach a new design of MHD flow over embedded surface microchannels.…”
