“…On the other hand, it can improve lower limb muscle oxygen uptake and the sensitivity of nerve conduction and proprioceptors during walking, shorten the reaction time of reflection, enhanced body balance function, thereby reducing the risk of falling. Dixit et al [21] had treated 87 elderly with DPN aerobic exercise training for 8 weeks, the frequency of each exercise session was 3e6 days of the week of moderate intensity treadmill exercises, the results showed the degree of neuropathy was significantly reduced, a significant increase in the patients' epidermal nerve fiber branch and nerve conduction velocity.…”

“…We analyzed five studies, two RCTs that compared combined exercises versus control evaluated the balance by ABC scale 8,9 , two RCTs that compared combined exercises versus control that evaluated the balance by Berg Balance Scale and evaluated the muscle strength of LL 10,11 , and one RCTs that compared aerobic exercise versus control evaluated the postprandial and fasting glycemic indexes 12 .…”

“…Out of the five included studies, only one article evaluated the postprandial and fasting glycemic indexes 12 (n=87), which precluded meta-analysis. In this study, postprandial and fasting glycemic index showed no significant difference when comparing the two groups.…”

“…3 Exercise training has recently attained the distinction to improve the nerve functions and quality of life in type 2 DPN. 5,6 Researchers in a study have stated that moderate-intensity aerobic exercises can play a pivotal role to modulate peroneal nerve conduction velocity in type 2 DPN, 5 implying a corrective change in large fiber conduction of the lower extremities, which are also responsible for maintaining upright stance in the environment. Moreover, the researchers have also investigated the effect of various kinds of exercises and have found its ameliorative effect on postural control measures.…”
