Efektivitas Progressive Muscle Relaxation terhadap Tekanan Darah pada Penyakit Hipertensi

Abstract: Introduction: Progressive Muscle Relaxation is a muscle relaxation technique that does not require imagination, perseverance or suggestion. Muscle relaxation is a skill that can be learned and used to reduce or eliminate tension and stimulate a sense of comfort without being dependent on things / subjects outside of itself. Objectives: reduce pain, reduce blood pressure, reduce anxiety, and reduce stress. Method: this study explores evidence published in electronic data: Pubmed, google scholar. Five studies we… Show more

“…Tekanan darah menjadi salah satu faktor yang memiliki efek sangat penting dalam sistem sirkulasi. Tinggi atau rendahnya tekanan darah akan mempengaruhi homeostatis di dalam tubuh manusia (Zainuddin et al, 2018) . Pada orang dewasa muda tekanan darah berkisar 120/70 mmHg dalam posisi istirahat.…”

“…Blood pressure is one of the factors that have a significant influence on the circulatory system. High blood pressure or low blood pressure affects the body's homeostasis Andari et al, 2020;Zainuddin et al, 2018). The group of non-communicable diseases that are very common and easily detected in the community is hypertension or high blood pressure (Permata et al, 2021;Wulandari & Puspita, 2019).…”

“…In hypertension, some factors can pose a risk to a person suffering from hypertension, including age, gender and ethnicity, obesity, genetics, alcohol, stress, excessive salt intake, smoking, and physical activity patterns (Zainuddin et al, 2018). The stress factor can affect the emergence of primary hypertension because it is influenced by increased sympathetic nerve activity, in addition to affecting blood pressure increased sympathetic nerve activity also causes increased pulse, because the pulse is stimulated by sympathetic nerve fibbers and decreased pulse frequency is stimulated by parasympathetic fibbers (Rumiati et al, 2019).…”

“…Hypertention treatment can use pharmacological therapy or drug therapy and -nonpharmacological therapy, one of the Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). Progressive muscle relaxation therapy can reduce blood pressure and pulse, this relaxation involves the contraction and relaxation of various body muscle groups so that it will cause relaxed effects and stop the voltage (Zainuddin et al, 2018). In addition to PMR, alternative therapy can be given of them, namely music therapy.…”
