The incision is a condition of tissue discontinuity that is commonly encountered with the risk of prolonged healing time, imperfect wound healing, infection, etc. Assessment of the wound healing activity of the incision is the purpose of this research, which includes an examination of wound contraction, the thickness of collagen fibers, and the number of new blood vessels formation. In total, 25 rats will be divided into 5 test groups, each consisting of 5 rats; the control group (cream base treated), standard group (Povidone Iodine), followed by the treated group with 10%, 20%, and 30% pandan leaf extract ointment. The preliminary screening of phytochemical analysisshowed the presence of alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, and steroids and glycosides, with the total content of phenols and flavonoids from the ethanolic extract of Pandan Wangi is 20.95 GAE mg/gram extract, and 23.57 TAE mg/gram extract. Wound contraction examination result showed a significant difference between the treatment groups on day 16 and a sign the pairs of groups after being given the ointment with each concentration (p <0.05), especially in the group with 30% fragrant leaves extract and the standard group. Examination of new blood vessels showed a significant difference (p <0.05), especially with 30% of the leaves extract ointment. There was also a significant difference in collagen density in the group given pandanus ethanol ointment, especially at the 30% pandanus extract content against the group that was only given the ointment base. This research strongly suggests that the fragrant pandan leaf extract ointment is effective in healing incisional wounds and promises the potential for further studies on the pharmacological aspects.

Sunkist oranges (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) is rich in anthocyanins (95% of which are represented by cyanidin-3-glucoside and cyanidin-3-6"-malonyl-glucoside), flavanones (hesperidin and narirutin), hydroxycinnamic acid, carotenoids, sugars, minerals, and fiber, which offer health benefits. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of sunkist orange peel nanoparticle granules on the histopathological appearance of the cardiac and aorta in alloxan-induced diabetic rats. This study used a post-test experimental design, with a control group. Twenty-five male Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: negative control (alloxan+distilled water), positive control (alloxan+metformin), treatment 1 (alloxan+granular nanoparticles 50 mg/kg BW), treatment 2 (alloxan+granular nanoparticles 70 mg/kg BW), and treatment 3 (alloxan+granular nanoparticles 100 mg/kg BW). The heart and aorta were prepared for observation using 10x ocular magnification and 40x objective lens magnification. Kruskal-Wallis statistical test results revealed a significant difference in the average cardiac histopathological score between the treatment groups (p = 0.011). The amount of aortic endothelial cell damage can be seen from the presence of foam cells in the K(-) treatment group, while the K(+), P1, P2, and P3 groups did not have foam cells in the aortic endothelium. The findings of this study indicate that sunkist orange peel extract nanoparticles in granular form improve cardiac and aortic histopathology, with a dose of 100 mg/kg BB being the best dose for improving cardiac and aortic histopathology.

Diabetes mellitus DM adalah suatu penyakit kronis dimana organ pankreas tidak memproduksi cukup insulin atau ketika tubuh tidak efektif dalam menggunakannya. Data dari Riskesdas 2013 menunjukkan angka kejadian DM di Indonesia sebanyak 2,1% mengalami peningkatan dibandingkan dengan tahun 2007.Metformin sebagai obat anti diabetes oral pilihan pertama memiliki efek samping berupa gangguan gastrointestinal seperti diare, mual, muntah, dan perut kembung. Susu kedelai mengandung protein tinggi dan senyawa lesitin, yang mempunya fungsi untuk keseimbangan metabolisme dalam pengendalian glukosa darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian susu kedelai terhadap gula darah tikus yang diinduksi aloksan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan pre and post test control group. sampel menggunakan 30 ekor tikus wistar berusia 2-3 bulan. Sampel dibagi dalam 5 kelompok secara acak. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penurunan kadar glukosa darah terlihat signifikan pada kelompok perlakuan 1 dengan dosis 15 ml/hari, dengan rerata penurunan 112,00 dengan pemberian susu kedelai selama 14 hari.
