“…A recent meta‐analysis (Brockway, Benzies, & Hayden, ) found that for each 1‐point increase in the mean BFSE score, the odds of EBF increased by 10% in intervention groups. However, strategies to increase BFSE have varied, including workshops in groups (Chan, Ip, & Choi, ; Liu, Zhu, Yang, Wu, & Ye, ; Noel‐Weiss, Rupp, Cragg, Bassett, & Woodend, ), one‐to‐one interventions (Araban, Karimian, Karimian Kakolaki, McQueen, & Dennis, ; Javorski et al., ; Wu, Hu, Mccoy, & Efird, ), and phone interventions (Chan et al., ; Merdasi, Araban, & Saki, ; Thorpe, Jansen, Cromack, & Gallegos, ). Therefore, a recent review (Galipeau, Baillot, Trottier, & Lemire, ) concluded that although interventions to improve BFSE are effective in promoting breastfeeding, there is still a paucity of evidence about the mode, format, and intensity of such interventions.…”
