Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of the Family Health Strategy on infant mortality surveillance. METHODS:An ecologic study was performed with a multiple group design, and the unit of analysis was municipalities in Bahia state (Northeastern Brazil) in 2008.
