Ectopic lamellar Pacinian corpuscle within the thymus. Atypical or abnormal location?

Abstract: Lamellar (Pacinian) corpuscle is a cutaneous encapsulated sensory corpuscle, mainly functioning as a rapidly adapting low-threshold mechanoreceptor with characteristic "onion skin"-like appearance.
