Economic production ofLysinibacillus sphaericusunder solid state fermentation

Abstract: A highly active mosquitocidal Lysinibacillus sphaericus namely Ls 9B24 was isolated from soil of Alexandria governorate in Egypt. It was more active than the standard strain, L. sphaericus 2362. The sporulation and toxin formation of both cultures grown on different leguminous seeds and by-products under solid state fermentation (SSF) were studied.
