“…The total dissolved solids (TDS) refer to the combination of inorganic and organic substances present in water in a dissolved state [ 98 ]. TDS levels in groundwater samples from the study regions of Nnewi and Awka range from 10.2 to 82.3 mg/L and 12 to 110 mg/L, respectively ( Table 3 ).…”

“…Compared with midstream and downstream areas, the contribution of urban domestic sewage in some upstream samples was significantly lower, while that of agriculture and industry was more significant. There is a certain scale of agricultural activities and renewable energy demonstration in the upstream area, ,, and the population density is relatively low compared to the middle and lower reaches, which may be the main reason for the decrease in the contribution of urban sewage. It is known that agricultural activities and industrial manufacturing are two dominant factors affecting the water chemistry of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, relative data of the two large rivers are shown in Figure .…”

“…At present, the average daily water supplement amount of the Guanting Reservoir is 18.9 million m 3 /d, the Zhaitang Reservoir is 32.5 million m 3 /d, and the Daning Reservoir is 20.4 million m 3 /d. 19 The source of the Zhaitang Reservoir is the Yellow River, and that of the Daning Reservoir is from the Han River, a tributary of the Yangtze River. 19 2.2.…”
