Ecological Evaluation of the Content of Heavy Metals in Soils of Agrocenosis of Western Siberia

Abstract: In stationary field experiments in the forest-steppe of Western Siberia, it was shown that long-term agricultural use of soil without the use of fertilizers caused a decrease in the soil content of heavy metals related to plant micronutrients — Cu, Zn, Co; the level of Pb, Cr, Sr has changed slightly. It was established that the long-term application of high, agronomically justified doses of mineral fertilizers, accompanied by a significant increase in the yield of cultivated crops, did not lead to an increase… Show more

“…Forest coverage rate (%): This indicator represents the area of forest resources and forest land owned by a certain area. In addition, when calculating the forest coverage rate, the area of shrubs, the area of farmland and forest network trees, and the coverage area of "four sides" (houseside, roadside, treeside and waterside) should also be included [10][11]. When the index value is higher, it not only means that the forest resources in the area are richer and the ecological balance is better; it also means that the living environment of wildlife and plants in the area is better, and the relationship between people and the natural environment is more harmonious.…”

“…The biogeochemical problem of deficiency of Ca, Mg, K, Co, Cu, Mo, Zn for agricultural crops leads to decrease in yield and deterioration in the quality of plant products and then to a deficiency of these elements in the food chain and the resulting diseases of animals and humans (Rosanoff, 2013;Jayalaxmi et al, 2015;Cazzola et al, 2020;Yakimenko et al, 2020). Magnesium's main physiological role is to participate in the process of photosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism (Voevodina and Voevodin, 2015;Nechaeva et al, 2019;Abbas et al, 2024).…”
