Early postoperative healing following guided tissue regeneration in aggressive periodontitis patients

Abstract: Background. In order to regenerate periodontal tissues, necessary conditions for this process must be created during surgery, primarily by allowing uninfected adhesion of the clot to the root surface, and then its stable position in the defect. Objectives. The aim of this secondary analysis was to evaluate early postoperative healing of papillary incisions and its correlations with patient-, site-and technique-related factors following guided tissue regeneration (GTR) in treatment of intrabony defects in patie… Show more

“…GTR combined with bone grafting not only played an important role in the reconstruction and recovery of bone defect tissue but also significantly promoted the healing of soft tissues. A certain thickness of highly mature gingival soft tissue around the bone defect plays a positive role in alleviating inflammation and promoting bone integration [22,23]. After the operation, our doctors discussed the details of the operation repeatedly and summarized the experience of the operation.…”

“…The results of this monkey study were not able to demonstrate a positive effect of the added growth factor PDGF, but might stress instead the importance of the direct postoperative healing phase [ 36 , 37 ], especially as far as barrier membrane exposure is concerned. Membrane exposure has been shown to worsen the results after periodontal regenerative surgery [ 38 , 39 ].…”

“…Скоріш за все, ШПП представляє собою неоднорідну, гетерогенну групу захворювань з подібними клінічними проявами, так як іншими авторами ювенільна форма ШПП пов'язується з мутацією в гені катепсина С в локусі хромосоми 11q14, клінічно маніфестуючим синдромом Papillon -Lefevre [26,27], який супроводжується остеолізисом альвеолярної кістки з порушеннями системного мінерального обміну і долонно-ступневим гіперкератозом.…”
