Early life impacts of maternal obesity: a window of opportunity to improve the health of two generations

Abstract: The number of pregnancies complicated by obesity is increasing in line with the worldwide obesity crisis; recent estimates suggest that in developed countries more than 50% of pregnancies are in women who are overweight or have obesity.
