Abstract: Introduction. Autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT) is a highly effective treatment for multiple myeloma (MM). Auto-HSCT allows a signifi cant improvement of haematological response leading to higher overall survival and quality of life in MM patients.
