The study examines the concept of literary pedagogy as an integral part of the educational process. The authors argue that literary pedagogy as a modern trend in human development is linked to the system of continuous education, which is implemented in formal, non-formal and informal education. A distinction should be drawn between the concepts of literary education and literary pedagogy. Literary education as a process of an individual’s incorporation into the culture by means of literature is generally provided within the framework of formal education and is based on two fundamental principles — artistic and literary-aesthetic. The authors consider literary education as an aspect of literary pedagogy. This research examines the experience of the formation and development of literary pedagogy. Particular attention is given to the issue of training specialists who would be prepared to support children’s and youth reading. Given the integrative, interdisciplinary character of the reading skill, the research presents strong evidence in favour of literary pedagogy which is developing as a branch of pedagogy and as a reaction to the fall of interest in reading. Furthermore, the study provides an overview of the literary pedagogy.

Okul öncesi dönem yaşamın ileriki dönemlerine etki eden hassas bir süreçtir. Bu süreçte çocuğun birincil çevresi olan ebeveyn etkileşimlerinin yanında çocuğa sunulacak materyaller, oyuncaklar ve kitaplar gibi uyaran bakımında zengin bir çevre çocuğun gelişimine olumlu yönde katkı sağlayacaktır. Özellikle okul öncesi dönemde çocuk edebiyatı ürünleri, çocuk için uyaran bakımından zengin çevrenin temel unsurları arasında yer almaktadır. Çocuklar için hazırlanan kitaplar, çocuğun okurken zevk almasına, eğlenirken öğrenmesine, hayal dünyasının gelişmesine, dil becerilerine katkı sağlamalı ve kitabın hayatındaki yerini kavramasına yardımcı olmalıdır. Son dönemlerde teknolojik gelişmeler, çocuk edebiyatında da etkisini göstermiş ve resimli e-kitaplar ortaya çıkmıştır. Ancak resimli e-kitapların, çocuğun gelişimi üzerinde nasıl bir etkiye sahip olacağı konusu halen açıklığa kavuşmuş bir konu değildir. Bu nedenle, resimli e-kitaplara ilişkin gelişimsel bir bakış açısına ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Bu kapsamda, bu derleme çalışmasında resimli e-kitaplar çocuk edebiyatının geldiği son nokta olarak ele alınmış ve gelişimsel bir bakış açısı ile söz konusu olumlu ve olumsuz özellikleri tartışılmıştır.

“…These findings indicate that even those in the same age range will perform differently with both paper books and eBooks. Further, Korat & Segal-Drori (2015) study not only found differences in results specific to the amount of times a story was read on an eBook, but also recorded the emergent literacy level so that results could identify any difference between higher levels of emergent literacy (EL) and lower levels of EL. This study ascertained that the more the child used or read the eBook, the better the performance was, irrespective of prior literacy level, to the point where scoring then surpassed that of the paper book when read a comparable number of times.…”
