Dynamical Picture for the Formation and Decay of the ExoticXYZMesons

Abstract: We present a new dynamical picture that identifies the formation of the exoticcc-containing states XYZ with the confinement-induced hadronization of a rapidly separating pair of a compact diquark and antidiquark. This picture combines the advantages of diquark-based models, which can accommodate much of the known XYZ spectrum, with the experimental fact that such states are both relatively narrow and are produced promptly. It also naturally explains the preference of some of the exotic states to decay to ψ(2S)… Show more

“…A dynamical picture to explain the nature of the exotic XYZ states was proposed in Ref. [394] based on a diquark-antidiquark open-string configuration, while the three-body DDπ dynamics for the X(3872) was investigated in Refs. [636,637].…”

“…[393], which was based upon a mechanism proposed to study tetraquark states [394]. The P c (4380) and P c (4450) were described in terms of a confined but rapidly separating color-antitriplet diquark [cu] and colortriplet antitriquark [c(ud)].…”

“…The attractive force strength in the color antitriplet diquark is half of that in the color singlet quark-antiquark pair in the one-gluonexchange model. Thus two quarks in the color antitriplet 3 have a large possibility to bind into a diquark [15][16][17], and thus a baryon can be treated as a quark-diquark system.…”

“…After its discovery, various interpretations, such as conventional charmonium state [2,3], tetraquark state [4][5][6], Λ cΛc baryonium [7,8] and threshold effect [9], were performed. The mechanism of Y (4630) enhancement in Λ cΛc electroproduction was also studied [10].…”
