Dynamic response analysis of a whole steel frame solar greenhouse under wind loads

Abstract: In recent years, whole steel frame steel greenhouses have become increasingly prevalent. With the characteristics of large flexibility and small mass, whole steel frame steel greenhouses are sensitive to wind loads. However, studies on the safety of whole steel frame steel greenhouses under wind loads are still limited. In this study, a 10 m span whole steel frame solar greenhouse was taken as the research objective. Taking the Davenport spectrum as the target spectrum, the time history of the wind speed was s… Show more

“…In addition, we calculated safety by the average load and reliability using the probability load. In skeletal structures such as greenhouses, the axial force (compression, tensile) and shear force are very small compared to bending stress [36,37]. Therefore, we only considered bending stress as the maximum cross-sectional force to evaluate safety and reliability.…”

“…Ranjbaran (2014) explores the effect of stiffening members on the vibrations of frame structures. Li et al (2022) investigate the dynamic behaviour of a solar greenhouse modelled as a three-dimensional frame structure subjected to wind loads. Lumped mass properties, often employed to represent complicated mechanical systems, simplify the problems with frame dynamics (Rezaiee-Pajand and Khajavi, 2011).…”
