Dynamic imine chemistry in metal–organic polyhedra

Abstract: Schiff base ligands prepared by the condensation reaction of carbonyl compounds and amines possess an excellent chelating ability. The chemistry of imine bond formation is among the most robust dynamic covalent chemistries employed for the construction of metal-organic materials.This review highlights the intercession of these linkers in the preparation of self-assembled architectures mainly metal-organic polyhedra and highlights their role in various key applications.
