Show more

“…For fatigue design, S-Ncurves for different lattice girder types have been developed. 4,5 However, more investigations are still missing for the improvement of the design concept since the current design approach for shear fatigue leads to high shear reinforcement ratios and thus to uneconomical results. To analyze the behavior under cyclic loading, initially, a closer look at the structural behavior of semi-precast slabs under monotonic loading is necessary.…”

“…Semi‐precast slabs can generally be used for both monotonic and cyclic loading. For fatigue design, S ‐ N ‐curves for different lattice girder types have been developed 4,5 . “…Since the first semi-precast slabs with l tice girders were built in the 1960s, this construction method has been continuously d veloped and researched. In recent years, punching and fatigue design have been the ma areas of research for the use of lattice girders [30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37]. The S-N curves (S: stress, N: numb of load cycles) defined in [29] for profiled bars, which are either bent or welded, are n applicable for the fatigue design of lattice girders.…”

“…In order to extend the range of application by deriving S-N curves for lattice girders, small-size fatigue tests with lattice girder diagonals cast in concrete cubes have been conducted at the Institute of Structural Concrete (IMB), RWTH Aachen [43,56], using the procedure of the interactive method [57,58] (Figure 5b). This procedure had also been adapted to derive S-N curves for other lattice girder systems, e.g., in [36].…”
