The coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is still an important problem in Indonesia because the fulfilment of nutritional needs is very necessary for all humans, especially infants. Meeting the nutriotional needs of infants can be obtained from exclusive breastfeeding. The success of exclusive breastfeeding in influenced by many factors, one of which is husband’s support and breastfeeding behaviour. This study aims to analyze the relationship between husband’s support and breastfedding behaviour in the Work Area of the Air Besar Health Center, Ambon, Maluku.. This research is an analytic observational quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The sample size in this study was 36 breastfeeding mothers. The variables in this study are husband's support and breastfeeding behavior. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and used the Pearson correlation test as a data analysis technique. This study uses primary data obtained from questionnaires and secondary data from the records of the Air Besar Ambon Maluku Health Center. The results showed that almost all respondents received support from their husbands (86.1%) and almost all respondents carried out breastfeeding behavior (80.6%). The results of the Pearson correlation test for the relationship between husband's support and breastfeeding behavior have a significance value of 0.000 < 0.005, which means that there is a relationship between husband's support and breastfeeding behavior. Pearson correlation value of 0.817 indicates a very strong relationship. The conclusions in this study indicate that husband's support has a very strong relationship with the success of breastfeeding behavior in the Air Besar Ambon Health Center Work Area. The better the support provided by the husband to his wife, the higher the number of breastfeeding behavior will be. It is hoped that the puskesmas can provide assistance to married couples to explain the importance of husband's support for the success of breastfeeding behavior.

Breastfeeding mothers have had limited access to breastfeeding support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to investigate breastfeeding practices during the COVID-19 period and to determine the factors associated with supporting exclusive breastfeeding. A sequential explanatory mixed methods approach was adopted, including a quantitative method in the first phase and qualitative method in the second phase. Mothers whose babies were aged over 6 months to 24 months old from July to September 2021 in Pekanbaru City were selected as research subjects. Data analysis was performed with multivariate and deductive content analysis. Of 156 participants, 97 mothers (62.2%) exclusively breastfed their babies. Of those, mothers who delivered exclusive breastfeeding worked less than eight hours per day, were aged 17–25 and had low education. Though by using exclusive breastfeeding practice as a reference, associated supports, including emotional, instrumental, appraisal and information regarding exclusive breastfeeding practice were insignificant; however, mothers who practice exclusive breastfeeding had higher information support. During the COVID-19 pandemic period, the informational support factor was found to be important to achieve the successful exclusive breastfeeding practice.

Breast milk (ASI) is a liquid secreted by the mother's breast glands in the form of natural foods or the best nutritious and high-energy milk produced during pregnancy. Breast milk is the perfect and best food for babies, especially babies 0-6 months because it contains the nutritional elements needed for optimal baby growth and development. This research is a type of qualitative research, using descriptive method. The definition of qualitative research can be understood as a research procedure that seeks to understand and interpret the meaning of an event of human behavior interaction in certain situations according to the researcher's own perspective. and the results of this study explain that, breastfeeding is a natural process and is an art that must be re-studied, because breastfeeding actually not only provides an opportunity for babies to grow into physically healthy human beings but is also able to increase intelligence and have emotional stability, positive spiritual development and better social development. In addition to the mother's knowledge factor, another factor that affects exclusive breastfeeding is the role of health workers. The role of health workers is to provide health education by providing counseling to provide encouragement to mothers by providing information about the smooth running of milk, especially the effect of social support on the smooth production of breast milk, then providing knowledge by direct education to patients, distributing leaflets and posters to the public, and involving families to provide support to breastfeeding mothers to always give exclusive breastfeeding from birth to 6 months of age, because the presence of professional health workers can be a supporting factor for mothers in determining the sustainability of breastfeeding now and in the future.
