Efforts to preserve local culture face challenges with the domination of foreign cultural acculturation which is starting to dominate today. The actualization of local wisdom values through traditional games is a potential for the development of the sociological-anthropological basis of the curriculum in schools. Such as traditional games which are still preserved by the local Bugis Sidenreng Rappang community, South Sulawesi. The purpose of this study was to analyze the values of local wisdom contained in traditional games of the Bugis tribe to then become the sociological- anthropological foundation of education. This research approach uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data analysis used interpretative phenomenological analysis. These traditional games include Massempe, Maraga, Maggasing, Maggalenceng, Massantok, Mallogo, Maggale, and Mappasajang. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that each traditional game that is played has an attitude and social value that can be used as curriculum development based on local wisdom such as malempu (honest), warani (brave), never give up, conscientious, creative, cooperative, and practice in problem solving. This age-old Bugis game is brimming with moral principles. The character education of students in schools is strengthened by playing traditional games. This is evident in a number of areas of people's life, including those related to education, society, the economy, and health.

Islam is a religion that upholds the values of justice and equal rights between men and women, but the understanding of the Indonesian Muslim community is still wrong with the teachings of Islam. One of the reasons includes misunderstanding of misogynistic hadiths, namely hadiths that editorially seem to demean women. This study aims to explore Islamic feminists’ rejection of the textual understanding of misogynistic hadiths to uphold gender justice. This Islamic feminist stance needs to receive support so that gender justice is in line with Islamic law. This research uses empirical qualitative methods by analyzing the theory of understanding hadith and gender theory. The study obtained data from interviews and a literature review. The respondents interviewed were academics, NGO activists, and community leaders, while the literature included journal articles, books, and Islamic textbooks on Islamic law. The study took place in Makassar City, Indonesia from September 2022 to March 2023. Findings reveal that Islamic feminists in Makassar City criticize the textual interpretations of misogynistic hadiths as they demean women’s dignity and are not in accordance with the values of Islamic teachings. If analyzed from a gender perspective, Islamic feminists have played an important role in fighting for gender equality in a religious context. Meanwhile, in the context of hadith understanding theory, a contextual approach is needed to provide a comprehensive understanding of society so that gender justice is realized. The contribution of this study is that the Islamic feminist perspective that reviews misogynistic hadith through a contextual approach helps provide inspiration and direction for other efforts to encourage social change and gender justice.

This study aims to reveal educational value contained in the ethnoparenting of Penrek Tojang of the Bugis Tribe in Wattang Sidenreng, Sidenren Rappang Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a type of transcendental phenomenology. The subjects in this study were a pair of parents (father and mother) who had carried out the Penrek Tojang ceremony at the birth of their child. Data collection techniques were carried out using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, until it reached the stage of exploring intention and eidetic reduction (values/ideas) which underlies pure subjectivity. The core processes of this research were epoche, reduction, imaginative variation, and synthesis of meanings and essence. The analysis technique used epoche/bracketing. The results of the study showed that the implementation of ethnic-based parenting in ethnoparenting was still carried out through the Penrek Tojang event or the swing ride. The aim of the Penrek Tojang tradition is to get closer to Allah SWT and as a form of gratitude for having been given a child and asking for the child's safety. The implementation of Penrek Tojang began with the preparatory stage, namely preparing tools and materials as well as food to be served at the event. Then the event began with welcoming the invited guests, the process of throwing away, reading barazanji/makkulawi, cutting hair, kissing the baby, riding on a swing (menrek tojang), then closing with prayer and eating together. The educational values contained in ethnoparenting at the Penrek Tojang event include aqidah values, worship values, and moral values, namely the values of gratitude, politeness, affection, hospitality and helping. This is an effort to instill character education in children which makes them dignified in their lives and implies instilling life skills, including spiritual, emotional, and social skills.
