Doctor hopping and doctor shopping for prescription opioids associated with increased odds of high‐risk use

Abstract: Purpose Early detection of risky behaviors involving prescription opioids can assist prescribers in implementing safer prescribing. Patient‐to‐prescriber travel patterns may indicate potential opioid misuse.
