Do Women With Persistently Negative Nontreponemal Test Results Transmit Syphilis During Pregnancy?

Abstract: We found no convincing evidence of syphilis transmission from mothers with persistently negative nontreponemal test results. Only 1 case suggested that transmission may have occurred, and records were incomplete.
