Towards achieving the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this study revisits the information and communication technology (ICT) leapfrogging hypothesis of Steinmueller (2001), and Fong (2009) to expand the literature by testing its relevance in the labour force-growth dynamics in Asia. To achieve this, the study addresses four objectives: (i) test the ICT leapfrogging hypothesis; (ii) investigate the growth-enhancing impact of labour; (iii) examine whether ICT enhances or distorts the productivity of labour on economic growth; and (iv) if these effects differ by economic development. The study uses an unbalanced panel data on 81 countries located in East Asia and Pacific (EAP) and Europe and Central Asia (ECA) from 2010 to 2019. Two estimation techniques, namely panel spatial correlation consistent fixed effects (PSCC-FE) and random effects instrumental variables two-stage least squares (RE-IV2SLS), are deployed. To appraise if the impact differs by economic development, the study engages income group analysis. Among other findings: the leapfrogging hypothesis holds; labour is a significant predictor of economic growth; mobile phones usage is a more potent ICT indicator with more leapfrogging potentials relative to fixed telephones subscription; the net effect of labour on growth is mostly positive in the mobile phones’ models.

Residents' pro-environmental behavior (PEB) is vital for solving environmental pollution. This paper uses a micro sample of 10993 respondents from the Chinese General Social Survey. Propensity score matching was used to assess the effect of Internet access on residents' PEB, and the study finds a significant positive impact on private-sphere PEB and public-sphere PEB. This fundamental conclusion still holds after utilizing the instrumental variable method, changing the dependent variable, core explanatory variable, and the econometric model. Heterogeneous analysis finds that Internet access has a more significant positive impact on private-sphere PEB for elderly, women, low educated and rural residents. Internet access has a more significant positive impact on public-sphere PEB for the middle-aged, women, higher educated, and urban residents. The mediating test suggests that Internet access promotes residents' PEB and raises the overall level of residents' environmental awareness through the mediating factor of residents' PEB. This paper provides the theoretical and empirical basis that Internet technology can promote PEB at the microlevel, which emphasizes the positive impact of information and communications technology on eco-environmental improvement.

The narcissism of leaders has been studied as a negative trait. It is a personality disorder related to the constant aspiration for power, superiority over others, and a lack of empathy with others and their exploitation to achieve personal ends. Narcissists often seek leadership and work for their interests, and these behaviors affect workers' lower levels of performance, creativity, and productivity. This, in turn, leads to higher levels of burnout, job turnover, and other organizational diseases because the traits of leaders and their actual behavior complement each other. Therefore, this research aims to study the relationship between narcissistic leadership with its dimensions (arrogance, authority) and workers' performance (organizational commitment, job satisfaction, creativity, productivity). The research sample was represented in Baghdad College of Economic Sciences University / Iraq, and the research sample amounted to (77) individuals. The research relied on the questionnaire as the main tool to collect data to conduct statistical analyses. As (87) questionnaires were distributed to the employees of the researched college, the number of retrieved questionnaires was (77) valid for analysis. The data was analyzed using (SPSS V.25) and (Amos V.25). Many statistical methods were used to achieve the research objectives, represented by (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression). The most important findings of the research are the adverse effect of narcissistic leadership on workers' performance. The more there is narcissistic leadership in the college understudy, the more it negatively contributes to the performance levels of employees.
