DNA methylation–independent long-term epigenetic silencing with dCRISPR/Cas9 fusion proteins

Abstract: The programmable CRISPR/Cas9 DNA nuclease is a versatile genome editing tool, but it requires the host cell DNA repair machinery to alter genomic sequences.
