“…Platelet‐derived growth factor B‐chain (PDGF‐BB) was detected with the detection of limit as low as 10 fM. This aptamer‐mediated primer immobilization method was also integrated with aptamer‐based immunoassay (Figure B), primer‐conjugated nanoparticles, peroxidase‐decorated oligonucleotides, nicking enzyme amplification, Raman spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, plasmon resonance sensor, and fluorescence microscopy for the detection of DNA, protein, exosome, cancer cell, and bacteria.…”

“…Therefore, it is highly demanded to develop a fast, simple and highly sensitive protein detection platform. To meet these requirements, various techniques have been applied to protein detection, including fluorescence methods, [11][12][13][14] gel electrophoresis, 15,16 mass spectrometry, [17][18][19] electrochemical methods, [20][21][22] enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) [23][24][25][26] and surface plasmon resonance. [27][28][29] Unfortunately, the selectivity of some techniques under biological conditions is poor.…”

“…[19][20][21][22][23] Some signal amplification strategies based on RCA have been applied to achieve sensitive detection of markers at low levels. [24][25][26][27] Proteins are the key markers of disease, [28][29][30][31] therefore the development of highly sensitive methods to detect protein markers is a promising direction for disease. This paper reviews protein detection based on RCA using for example fluorescence [32] and electrochemistry.…”
