This article offers an overview of the evolution of Hungarian futures studies via a systematic literature review of articles with at least one Hungarian futurist (co-)author, published in high-ranking international or English-language Hungarian journals. The review reveals how researchers from a relatively small European country, where central planning had been applied for decades, have made their way to the pages of prestigious international journals and disseminated their results in a diverse range of articles to the global research community. The number of these publications has increased decade by decade. Results of statistical-based literature review demonstrate that research period and research topic are in strong association with the quality of journal articles, yet scientometric features of Hungarian futurist (co-)authors are not significant in this aspect. However, spectacular clustering of articles can be accomplished based on the citation statistics of Hungarian futurist (co-)authors.

A tanulmány a szlovákiai személygépjármű-gyártás helyzetével foglalkozik összehasonlításban a visegrádi országokkal, felvázolva az ottani autógyártás történetét, az ágazat gazdasági szerepét, különös tekintettel a termelésre, a kivitelre, a gépjárműalkatrész-gyártásra, a foglalkoztatásra, a beszállítói hálózatra és a személygépjármű-értékesítésre. A szerző bemutatja az országban jelentős termelőbázissal rendelkező vállalatokat és azok területi elhelyezkedését. Az adatokból megállapítható, hogy a szektor a többi visegrádi országhoz képest Szlovákiában járul hozzá legnagyobb mértékben a gazdasági kibocsátáshoz, és aránya emelkedő tendenciát mutat. Az országban továbbra is csak gyártás folyik, kutatásra és fejlesztésre csak marginálisan van példa. További negatívum, hogy a gyártók Szlovákia nyugati és dél-nyugati régióiba összpontosulnak.

Recent events have affected the economies of nations that began with an extraordinary epidemic that led to the lifting of closures and the emergence of oversupply in the market. The result is price increases, new supply problems and deficit economies, all of which contribute to rising inflation. The conflict and the oil crisis made the situation worse. We wondered whether the recent price increases have made people in Hungary more conscious with their budgets. The current report is based on a nationwide representative survey of almost 25,000 people conducted by NET Media PLC in September 2022. The study focused primarily on the development of living standards and the state of the economy, changes in spending patterns, savings, and family household management. Overall, it can be said that more than 75 percent of Hungarians over 25 are dissatisfied with how their standard of living has changed in the last year and that their financial situation has deteriorated.
