“…In Ref. [45], Garreau et al present a new UBEM called DIMOSIM (District MOdeller and SImulator). The tool creates a district from a GIS-file, completes missing data for buildings according to their geographical situation and construction year, and then simulates the buildings, systems, and occupancy under given weather conditions.…”

“…The simple communication acts as a stimulus to help buildings sense the grid's need for flexibility and accordingly within the limits of their local constraints and users' preferences. The overall methodology of the project includes the following steps and approaches: (1) Development of control strategies, algorithms, and frameworks for demand side management; (2) Adaptation of the technical components to the use case; (3) Evaluation of the COLLECTiEF algorithms and control strategies as well as the complete COLLECTiEF solutions on the District MOdeller and SIMulator (DIMOSIM) platform [12]; (4) Testing in a small-scale demonstration site; (5) largescale demonstration of the COLLECTiEF solutions in 13 pilot buildings located in three countries namely, Norway, Italy, and Cyprus; (6) Development of business models and exploitation of the results; (7) Capacity building and stakeholder engagement. “…WP2 focuses on the development of algorithms and communication logic of the COLLECTiEF EM system. The partners are developing, testing and enhancing existing and new solutions using a virtual test bed, DIMOSIM [12], and in a real environment at the G2Elab. WP3 aims at developing and implementing the prototype of the COLLECTiEF network, including hardware and software technologies for demonstration in a real smallscale environment in the G2Elab.…”

“…Saner et al [26] proposed a multi-objective optimization model for urban building energy based on life cycle assessment, and the results showed that the model could be effectively used to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions and particulate matter emissions of urban buildings. Garreau et al [27] developed a UBEM based on District MOdeller and SIMulator to optimize the energy consumption of urban structures. Prataviera et al [28] have developed an open-source urban building energy simulation tool called EUReCA, which predicts the energy demand of metropolitan areas with a bottom-up approach and low computing resources.…”
