“…Most of the dissolved Cu observations were taken from the GEOTRACES Intermediate Data Product 2017 (version 2; Mawji et al, 2015; Schlitzer et al, 2018; individually published in Heller & Croot, 2015; Jacquot & Moffett, 2015; Little et al, 2018; Roshan & Wu, 2015, 2018), plus some non‐GEOTRACES data (individually published in Bruland, 1980; Danielsson et al, 1985; Ezoe et al, 2004; Fitzwater et al, 2000; Fujishima et al, 2001; Illuminati et al, 2017; Jacquot et al, 2013; Lai et al, 2008; Löscher, 1999; Martin et al, 1993; Moore, 1978; Nolting & De Baar, 1994; Nolting et al, 1991; Posacka et al, 2017; Saager et al, 1992, 1997; Sanudo‐Wilhelmy et al, 2002; Yeats & Campbell, 1983). In this study, we also determined dissolved Cu concentration along a meridional transect in the tropical‐subtropical Pacific (stations inside brown contour in supporting information Figure S1), applying the method of Mg (OH) 2 coprecipitation combined with isotope dilution mass spectrometry (Wu & Boyle, 1997; details of blank and standard seawater measurements are very similar to those reported in Roshan & Wu, 2015, 2018).…”
