Distributed consensus control of nonlinear multi‐agent systems with sensor uncertainty

Abstract: This article focuses on the distributed consensus control problem for nonlinear multi‐agent systems subject to sensor uncertainty. To be specific, we study nonlinear multi‐agent systems of lower or upper triangular structure with unknown growth rate and sensor uncertainty. A new time‐varying gain approach is proposed to construct observers as well as distributed output‐feedback controllers. By selecting suitable design parameters, the leader‐follower consensus of nonlinear multi‐agent systems is achieved. Diff… Show more

“…4 In recent years, consensus control of MASs has attracted significant interest among scholars, playing a crucial role in achieving coordination and coherence among multiple agents. [5][6][7][8] For example, Li et al 6 studied the consensus problem of MASs with sensor uncertainty. He et al 9 conducted research on consistent control of linear MASs with actuator saturations.…”

“…The study of multi‐agent systems (MASs) has become increasingly important due to their prevalent use in diverse domains such as sensor networks, 1,2 robotic swarms, 3 and unmanned aerial vehicle systems 4 . In recent years, consensus control of MASs has attracted significant interest among scholars, playing a crucial role in achieving coordination and coherence among multiple agents 5–8 . For example, Li et al 6 studied the consensus problem of MASs with sensor uncertainty.…”

“…In the past few years, the consensus control problem of multiagent systems (MASs) has become a prominent research topic and has achieved some results. [1][2][3][4][5][6] In practical engineering applications, performance degradation or even instability may be caused by large errors. To overcome this difficulty, prescribed performance control techniques [7][8][9][10][11] have attracted the interest of many scholars.…”

“…Numerous studies on the control of MASs can only ensure asymptotic convergence of the systems [13,14]. Nevertheless, advanced formation missions such as autonomous rendezvous and docking, large-aperture earth observation, interstellar reconnaissance, and deep space exploration require control algorithms with high convergence speed and robustness to uncertainties due to the limited window and high performance requirements.…”
