The accessing changes in the world order provoke fields such as education, work, and in general human lives. The pandemic caused by the spread of Covid-19 affected an extremely large part of the Earth, including the Republic of Bulgaria. Pupils and students had to switch to distance learning, being more precise go-to distance learning in an electronic environment. This was unexpected for us all - parents, students, and especially teachers. The teachers are the ones who have extremely difficult task of dealing in a very short time with the selection of (and possibly acquaintance with) appropriate software, as well as to master information and communication technologies, in most cases, and they may have never been trained in. This situation also provoked the study, which found a place in this report. It was targeted at the very beginning of the forced isolation, including the closure of educational institutions, in the Republic of Bulgaria - in the period from March 18 to April 10, 2020. A logical choice in this state of emergency was the way of conducting it - an electronic survey.

The global process of transition to the information society, as well as the economic, political and social changes that accompany it, are accelerating the reform of the education system. Distance learning is a humanistic personality-oriented form of learning, the basis of which is purposeful, motivated learning and communication between the teacher and students by using of modern information technology. The distance learning system opens wide access to various educational services to a large number of people who, due to objective or subjective reasons, cannot receive education in the traditional way. In addition, the advantage of this form of education is the lack of «age requirements», which is sometimes an objective obstacle to retraining or additional education for those categories of people with professional experience. The purpose of the study was to analyze the features of teaching a distance course in the discipline «Laboratory Diagnostics», developed at the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics National university of pharmacy. Material and methods. The methodological basis of the study included the following components: system approach; the concept of personality-oriented learning; principles of distance learning; theory of information systems. The article considers the peculiarities of the organization of distance learning in National university of pharmacy, the main methodological regulations on which the introduction of distance learning courses is based. The distance courses of the discipline «Laboratory Diagnostics» for students of specialty 226 «Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy» in the information environment Moodle was analyzed and generalized and the basic elements of educational information placement were directly described. The authors determined the place of distance courses in the process of independent training of educational process; the special role of the teacher (tutor) in the organization of independent training of the students according to the offered methodical recommendations and distance courses was shown. Conclusion. Distance learning in a virtual educational environment provides a variety of modern e-learning tools that can be used not only in full-scale distance learning, but also in traditional forms. National university of pharmacy is actively implementing measures to comply with the requirements of current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the implementation of distance learning. The experience of teaching the discipline «Laboratory Diagnostics» using distance learning technology allows future professionals in the field of knowledge «Health» to acquire skills and abilities

This study examines ways of forming the ability to self-organization and self-improvement as the basis for successful educational and further professional activity of a modern student of higher education. The purpose of the article is to analyze and generalize ways of forming the ability to self-organization and self-improvement as important and necessary competencies of a modern student of a higher education institution, accumulated in higher education institutions of Ukraine. To achieve this goal, scientific sources were analyzed and empirical research, including surveys and observations, was conducted. As a result of the study, it was established that the ability to self-organization is a key quality of a modern student of education, as it contributes to the effective management of one's own educational and cognitive activities, self-improvement and self-development. Self-improvement requires constant work on oneself, improvement of knowledge, important abilities and skills, and other competencies. The research highlighted the ways that contribute to the formation of the ability to self-organization and self-improvement in students of higher education institutions. Among them are: a structured educational program with opportunities for continuous self-improvement and self-development; mentoring and support from teachers, curators; opportunities for reflection and self-evaluation, as well as encouraging independence and persistence. The obtained results of the research are of practical importance for institutions of higher education, teaching staff, as they provide recommendations for creating a favorable educational environment for the development of self-organization and self-improvement among students. It should be noted that the research shows that the formation of the ability to self-organization and self-improvement are critical aspects of successful educational and professional activities of students. Recommendations arising from this study can contribute to the improvement of the educational process, to the improvement of the training of modern students of higher education.
