Dissociation and annihilation of multipartite entanglement structure in dissipative quantum dynamics

Abstract: We study the dynamics of the entanglement structure of a multipartite system experiencing a dissipative evolution. We characterize the processes leading to a particular form of output-system entanglement and provide a recipe for their identification via concatenations of particular linear maps with entanglement-breaking operations. We illustrate the applicability of our approach by considering local and global depolarizing noises acting on general multiqubit states. A difference in the typical entanglement beh… Show more

“…Under the action of local noises, the genuine entanglement degrades at first to the biseparable form (convex sum of states separable with respect to bipartitions), then to the triseparable form (convex sum of states separable with respect to tripartitions), and so on. Such a process is called entanglement dissociation [10] …”

“…In Ref. [4] it helped along with other methods to track the dynamics of the entanglement structure of a multiparticle open quantum system from genuine multiparticle entanglement to full separability and in Ref. [5] it was used to study the robustness of different types of entangled states against decoherence.…”

“…Note that the requirement (9) is sufficient for the channel Φ to be entanglement binding [14]. Similarly, Φ ⊗ Φ is entanglement breaking if and only if Φ is entanglement breaking (see, e.g., [6]). However, other properties of a map can change drastically under tensor power.…”
