Dissipation pattern and risk quotients assessment of amisulbrom in Korean melon cultivated in plastic house conditions

Abstract: Amisulbrom formulated as suspension concentrate was applied at the rate recommended for Korean melon to determine the dissipation pattern (at two different sites), the pre-harvest residue limit (PHRL), and risk assessments. Samples collected over 10 days were extracted using liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) and cleaned up with solid-phase extraction (SPE) Florisil cartridge. Residual concentrations were determined using liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detector (LC-UVD) and confirmed by liquid chromatography-ta… Show more

“…In Republic of Korea, the MRL for azoxystrobin in Swiss chard has been set to 50 mg/kg (MFDS, ). On average, 0.0003 kg/day Swiss chard is consumed by the average Korean adult (considering 55 kg average weight; Chang et al, ; Kabir et al, ). The ADI of azoxystrobin is 0.2 mg/kg body weight/day set by the Korean authority (MFDS, ).…”

“…Moreover, studying the dissipation behavior and the biological half-life of pesticide residues during cultivation is essential to predicting the PHRLs. A number of published papers have studied the PHRL in various crops and pesticides [5,6,7,8,9].…”
