Displacements of the Levitation Systems in the Vehicle Hyperloop

Abstract: The paper will present a mathematical model for the guideway as a continuous system, followed by a moving force coming from the capsule and the capsule as a discrete system. The theoretical problem selected for analysis comes from a group of technical problems, which solve the dynamics of systems subjected to moving loads. Dynamic reactions in the system are described by a system of coupled partial and ordinary differential equations. Their solution was obtained using approximate numerical methods. The article… Show more

“…"Hyperloop is an innovative concept of a new (fifth) mode of transport, also known as a vacuum railway" [3], which consists in moving the vehicle in the form of a hermetically sealed capsule with the transported passengers or cargo in a low-pressure tube [4]. This innovative method of transport, proposed by Musk [5], begins to be more and more often and more widely described in various publications, so that the advantages of HP technology include ecological safety and ecological cleanliness, comfort, independence from atmospheric phenomena, and the possibility of full traffic automation.…”

“…A lot of literature is devoted to aspects of the geometry and motion of the capsule along with technical data such as temperature, pressure, and resistance of the capsule. Kisilowski and Kowalik [4] undertook the analysis of technical problems that solve the dynamics of systems subjected to moving loads. For this purpose, they conducted an analysis using a numerical 3-D model of the guide.…”

“…Severe shock loads may occur during the passage through the turnout, generating severe damage to the surfaces of the turnout components [33]. Traffic of rail vehicles in regular operation may be considered as a source of influence of high-dynamic loads of cyclic nature, which translates into damages in the form of abrasive and fatigue wear and tear, as well as changes in the shape and dimensions of the outer layer [34][35][36][37][38]. Calculations of dynamic loads and resulting contact and internal stresses enable rational design of railway turnouts and correct selection of material to construct their The mechanical destruction process of the surface layer leads to undesirable changes in the dimensions and shape of the contacting rolling surfaces of the turnout and railroad wheel elements.…”

“…Research on the means of transport do not always regard the existing solutions. For example in [5] a model of a guideway for a Hyperloop capsule has been presented. On the other hand research on the means of transport can also be related to both maintenance and ecology, as for example in [2] where the selected aspects of using electric vehicles with fuel cells has been considered.…”
