Dispersive magnetic solid‐phase extraction of phthalate esters from water samples and human plasma based on a nanosorbent composed of MIL‐101(Cr) metal–organic framework and magnetite nanoparticles before their determination by GC–MS

Abstract: In this study, a magnetic metal-organic framework was synthesized simply and utilized in the dispersive magnetic solid-phase extraction of five phthalate esters followed by their determination by gas chromatography with mass spectrometry. First, MIL-101(Cr) was prepared hydrothermally in water medium without using highly corrosive hydrofluoric acid, utilizing an autoclave oven heat supply. Afterward, Fe O nanoparticles were decorated into the matrix of MIL-101(Cr) to fabricate magnetic MIL-101 nanocomposite. T… Show more

“…This technique requires only minute amounts of the solvents and sorbents for the extraction [16]. MSPE and magnetic dispersive micro-solid-phase extraction have been successfully applied to determine the concentrations of organic compounds and heavy metals in different types of aqueous and food matrices [17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25].…”

“…Various nanoadsorbent such as amino modified mesostructured cellular foam , metal‐organic frameworks , MCM‐41@NH 2 amino‐based silica‐coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) , and nanomagnetic titanium dioxide graphene has been employed in DSPE method. Magnetic dispersive SPE (MDSPE) is an attractive mode of SPE, which is extremely employed in sample preparation . The magnetic nanosorbent, with superparamagnetic feature, can be magnetically and easily separated from the sample solution without a need for filtration or centrifugation steps .…”

“…The detection of parabens is mainly based on Chromatography, which is the most common method of detection. In terms of the diversity of the actual samples and the relatively low concentration of parabens, parabens’ direct analysis still is a huge challenge.…”
