Disease Closure through Opening Novel Chrono-Sciences: Bioprocessing of Intermediary Metabolism

Abstract: While deeply important, timing of nutrient intake and bioprocessing has been mostly overlooked in modern medical and nutritional sciences and public health policies. Glucose by humans is not well tolerated during evening and night times unlike morning and day time. From a chronophysiological standpoint, activity demands glucose and thus day -and not night -is the right time to bioprocess any glucose overflow [1,2]. This editorial authorizes a realistic recommendation to minimize evening and nocturnal eating an… Show more

“…The major life affairs including eating, resting, working, and exercising must accordingly possess their own optimal circadian timing that fits internal chronophysiological rhythms optimally. Recent discoveries have elaborated on the significance of circadian timing of eating on human physiology and health [1][2][3][4][5]. Optimal timing of eating in relation to exercise can also potentially and greatly improve gut health [6].…”

“…This has adversely affected gut physiology and health [6][7][8][9]. Notably important, timing of food intake over the circadian period has recently been a public subject of research [10][11][12][13]. For instance, evening large meals are to be avoided for those seeking optimal body fitness and overall health [5,10].…”

“…12 Instead, food meals must be designed and scheduled to be consumed mostly during day when the body has enough capacity to utilize and oxidize nutrients to generate energy for use by different cells. 13,14 To avoid sharp rises in insulin release and thus to reduce likelihood of insulin resistance, large and main food meals must be broken down into multiple smaller meals. Such mini-meals must be distributed over the day time from early morning through late afternoon or the latest by early evening.…”
