Direct site endovascular repair as salvage procedure after anastomotic breakdown of primary repair following trauma

Abstract: A 16-year-old boy presented to a level I trauma center after multiple gun shot wounds and a motorcycle crash. He was in profound hemorrhagic shock and had multiple traumatic injuries, including a right common iliac arterial injury. The vessel was shunted for damage control and subsequently repaired primarily. On hospital day 18, he experienced dehiscence of the anastomosis requiring urgent surgery.
