“…With rapid developments in automobiles, medical equipments, electrical appliances, and machinery industries, application scope of polyamides, owing to their excellent mechanical properties and high strength, has widely increased. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] PA66 has excellent wear resistance, high mechanical strength, and heat resistance. However, PA66, an aliphatic polyamide, has glass transition temperature (T g ) of only 70 C. A low glass transition temperature and a large drop in modulus above T g , limit its applications in many fields.…”

“…The press and injection hybrid molding produced penetration of the laminate into rib structure and the thick laminate experienced gradual temperature decrease due to its greater heat capacity. Zhang et al 15 observed a dominant role of interface in the failure process of the direct injection molded specimens of high strength steel and short glass fiber/PA66 subjected to tensile, bending, and, modes I and II fracture loading. Wang et al 16 observed improvement of interface elastic modulus up to 130% by preheating of continuous fiber/PA6 laminates at 150 C prior to injection over-molding.…”

“…Traditionally, the manufacturing process of blended composite materials and laminated composite materials is different. The former is mostly injection molding, 11 and the latter is mostly compression molding. 12 On the other hand, in recent years, fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing has become an important processing method to study and analyze the enhancement mechanism of thermoplastic composites.…”
