The potential of a community can contribute to driving the economy of tourism villages. However, not all tourist villages can attract a significant number of tourists. It can be caused by the lack of management and potential optimization of the community. This research aims to identify tourism products that have been run in Bugisan Tourism Village. It also intends to find a development strategy for the village so that it can ensure the sustainability of tourism for the local culture and its cultural potentials of the host community can be preserved. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through observation and interview techniques as well as a literature study to collect data from primary and secondary sources. By using the concepts of sustainable tourism development, the efforts that can be implemented by Bugisan Tourism Village are through the development of several cultural elements, such as language, handicrafts, art and music, history of the region and religion, dress and clothes as well as education system. Meanwhile, it is necessary to improve the aspects of ancillary service and institution of the Bugisan Tourism Village.

<p><em>The development of the border area of West Kalimantan is not only to increase regional income, but furthermore, the aims are to improve people's welfare and reduce regional disparities that result in backwashing the economy. One of the flagship areas in the border area that requires serious attention is tourism development. This research uses ANP (Analytic Network Process) to obtain a tourism development strategy in the border area of West Kalimantan. Nine respondents are development planners. Tourism development strategies in border areas include natural, cultural, and culinary tourism. The problems that arise in the tourism sector are poor infrastructure, lack of promotion, and inadequate transportation for the development of natural tourism. For cultural tourism, the main problem is the lack of maintenance of cultural assets, rarely do festivals and locations are difficult to reach. In comparison, culinary tourism focuses on maintaining guaranteed halalness, having reasonable prices, and maintaining cleanliness. The rater agreement in this study consisted of the consistency index value in the range of 0.02 – 0.09 and Kendall's Coefficient of Concordance of 0.667.</em></p>

Purpose: This research was conducted in the border area in Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan, Indonesia, by focusing on the realization of the infrastructure aspect as the driving force of the development of the Indonesia-Malaysia cross border tourism destination. Research methods: The data of the research comes from observations, unstructured interviews, and literature studies. The research method used is qualitative descriptive methods. Findings: The research shows that the Aruk border area has completed both stages: (i) Priority Core Zone (office and service zone, trade and service zone) san (ii) Support Zone (infrastructure such as rest areas, money changers, tourism markets, places of worship, Indonesian guesthouse). Implication: The project needs fulfilment of strong basics such as infrastructure and accommodation, as well as being integrated with each other in building and advancing border areas to become world-class destinations, namely cross border tourism.
