DINAMIKA POPULASI SUMBER DAYA IKAN LAYUR (Lepturacanthus savala) DI PERAIRAN SELAT SUNDA (Population Dinamycs of Savalai Hairtail fish (Lepturacanthus savala) in Sunda Strait Waters)

Abstract:
ABSTRACT
Savalai hairtailis one of demersal fish that landed in PPP Labuan Banten with a fishing ground from the Sunda Strait waters. Savalaihairtail fish were caught by many gears (multigear) such as trawl, purse seine, small bottom trawl, and gillnet. This research aimed at reviewing population dynamic of savalai hairtail in Sunda Strait waters. The results showed the value of the growth coefficient (k) for female and male were 0,30/month and 0,23/month respectively, with asimptotic lengt… Show more

“…Research on water resources in the Sunda Strait has been centered on PPP Labuan. Previous studies have examined a lot of fish resource stocks, such as Selar fish (Yellowtail Scad) (Sharfina, Boer, & Ernawati, 2014), Blowfish (Prahadina, Mennofatria, & Achmad, 2015), Layur fish (Largehead hairtail) (Agustina, Boer, & Fahrudin, 2016), and Peperek fish (Ponyfish) (Permatachani, Boer, & Kamal, 2017). Also, other research that had been conducted at PPP Labuan related to the biological aspects of fish such as Kuniran (Goldband Goatfish) (Sarumaha, Kurnia, & Setyobudiandi, 2017), and Mackerel (Oktavia & Hidayati, 2018).…”

“…Ribbon fish Lepturacanthus savala Cuvier, 1829, locally known as layur, is a common species caught in gillnet and seiner fisheries in Lampung Bay (Hidayat et al 2021). In some areas, trawl also catches it (Agustina et al 2015;Kharatmol et al 2020). This species, characterized as benthopelagic and amphidromous, inhabits tropical waters within the coastal regions of the Indo-West Pacific and the Indian Ocean (Nakamura and Parin 1993;Indarjo et al 2020).…”
