Differentiation of logistics services on the basis ABC analysis

Abstract: The creation of a well-defined strategy and tactics of logistics services for various groups of customers with the definition of the range of services is extremely important for a service producer in terms of its competitiveness and market stability. The purpose of the study is to propose a method for classifying logistics services based on the use of ABC analysis, which allows Pareto to distribute services according to their degree of influence on the cost of production, which will enable the formation of an … Show more

“…for the solution based on the stopping rule is only 7.65%, which is considerably lower than the budget utilization when employing the benchmark method, i.e., 98.7%. It can be seen from Table 11 that the risk classification for this example does not follow a clear Pareto principle in which approximately 80% of the consequences originate from 20% of the causes (see, for instance, Kim et al, 2017 andZiyadin et al, 2020) among many others). According to Giannakis & Papadopoulos (2016), situations such as that shown in Table 11 may arise when supply-chain risks are diverse and when multiple decision-makers take part in the estimation of risk consequences.…”

“…ABC analysis is focused on identifying the products of the greatest benefit [11][12][13][14]. The condition that should be met by the cost percentage share of individual product groups about the total procurement costs is given by: 40 80%, B 15 40%, 5 20%.…”
