“…Feed producers have been improving their technical potential of heating and pressure-thermal processing of imported and domestic soybean seeds [6][7][8][9][10][11]. Processing of soybean seeds for consumption results in multiple products that can be used in animal nutrition, i.e., soybean meal (from dehulled seeds, with different particle size, extracted, expelled), soybean expeller cake, soybean oil, extruded full-fat soybean, isolated soybean protein, and soybean hull [1,8,9,11,12]. All these products differ in terms of the content of nutrients and thus can be fed to different species of animals [11,13,14].…”

“…This outcome is strongly related to the digestive organs and diet of the laying hens (Xu & Ding, 2012). To achieve high and consistent production, the hens are fed appropriate protein nutrients, vitamins, calcium and other nutrients beginning with the laying stage (Marx et al, 2021), which supplied good nutrition for the birds’ intestinal fungal community. After a time of adaptation, the microbial community in the intestines of chickens eventually achieved a stable state, with Candida , Pezizomycetes ‐associated genus and Kodamaea accounting for about half of the total, potentially reducing the fungal variety of chicken faeces.…”

“…Also, protein digestibility was increased for larger particle size SBM ( Pacheco et al, 2013 ). From 0 to 42 d, Marx et al (2021) fed mash diets to broilers differing only in SBM particle size (625, 775, 1,053, or 1,406 μm), and observed that FCR linearly decreased as SBM particle size increased, but particle size did not influence feed intake. It was also observed that smaller or coarser particle size SBM resulted in similar CP digestibility and digestible energy ( Marx et al, 2021 ).…”

Thus, increasing the particle size of SBM may not only reduce energy needed during feed manufacturing but may also improve the growth performance and nutrient utilization of poultry.…”
